1 Better automated pipe extraction Each release of EdgeWise Plant raises the bar on automated pipe extraction. Now EdgeWise automates up to 90% of the pipe extraction of any size dataset in a matter of minutes. Plus our fast automated finishing tools connect pipe runs over occluded regions of the point cloud minimizing the tedium in very complex modeling projects.
	2 Enhanced QA Tools Our Quality Assurance tools are dramatically faster and give you total control over the extracted pipes. Every pipe is listed in a table along with key intelligence such as length, diameter, point coverage and fit accuracy. With our new dynamic pipe resizing tool, any pipe can be changed in real time to ensure the most accurate fit to the point cloud.
3 Spec-driven valve, flange and component placement Easily insert dimensionally accurate valves, flanges, reducers or other components into a pipe run based on an industry specification table or a custom specification that you create. Our 3D component catalog includes every major valve and flange type as well as concentric/eccentric reducers and much more. Each fitting is correctly sized to the specified pressure rating and users have the flexibility to change both the pressure rating or the standard on an individual pipe run.
	4 Demolition tool removes points and pipes from the model Deleting pipes and points in a point cloud can be tedious. EdgeWise Plant’s new demolition tool removes all the points on a pipe run and the associated pipe geometry with a few simple clicks and stores them in a file that can be easily recovered at any time.
5 Billion-point high-definition point cloud visualization We’ve completely rebuilt our point cloud visualization engine giving it the capability to show billions of points in a single scene. This new high-definition viewing capability dramatically improves the editing and finishing experience.
	6 Create your own custom specs with our new spec editor EdgeWise Plant’s custom library tools allow you to build customized specification tables of components in the model, as well as, create customized layers that can be utilized throughout the project.
7 New pipe editing tools give you complete flexibility to finish the model Any pipe can be moved, split, rotated, resized, or extruded to best fit the as-built condition. New pipe runs can be quickly and easily added to the model.
	8 Export the intelligent model, including components, to any CAD platform The entire model, including valves and other components can be exported to all the major CAD platforms along with the associated intelligence such as, diameter; pressure rating; type and more.
9 Expanded SmartSheet technology adds intelligence to each pipe run EdgeWise Plant’s SmartSheet technology gives you powerful tools to add intelligence and annotations to your model as well as edit any individual pipe, component or an entire pipe run
