The flagship product of ClearEdge^3D is EdgeWise™, an advanced 3D modeling application for automatically extracting simplified, highly accurate, editable CAD models from point clouds.

EdgeWise revolutionizes the process of creating 3D CAD models. Using patent-pending computer vision algorithms,  it automatically extracts crisp, clean vectors from a scanned point cloud, creating accurate polygon models within minutes. Complex CAD models can be completed many times faster using this technology.

The simple user interface lets you import point clouds, rapidly create ground surface models, and extract clean CAD models of any planar structures within the scene. It outputs a reconstructed model of the observed planar surfaces, fitted using least-squares regression to retain the accuracy of the original scan data. If a complete CAD model is desired, the results can be imported directly into Google SketchUp (available free from Google™) or any other CAD application, where solid modeling tools can quickly fill any remaining gaps in the model.
