About ClearEdge3D BIM Consulting
Investing in new technology is often the easy part — actually incorporating new technology into your workflow can be a huge challenge. Fear of change, unclear goals, poor training materials, and a host of other issues can reduce or completely erase the expected benefits of technology purchases.
That’s where ClearEdge can help…
Our team of experts has over 30 years of experience implementing new technology into complex construction workflows, ensuring your team is properly trained, all stakeholders are on board and the risk to your investment is minimized. Whether you are implementing BIM for the first time or you are a Procore power user, the ClearEdge VDC team can take the uncertainty out of integrating reality capture technology into your workflow through our training and implementation consulting.
HERE’S HOW WE CAN HELP
We know scanning. We’ve used just about every scanner on the market and know how to get the efficiency and return on investment you need out of the equipment you have already or are considering purchasing. Whether it is field best practices, processing and registration, or using the data for modeling or analysis… we can help you avoid the speed bumps!
Leveraging reality capture to reduce installation errors and schedule delays has long been a dream on the jobsite, but implementing it in day-to-day practice where every minute counts is tough. Our team knows how to get every last second out of the process so you can verify the work in place and get results fast enough to respond without delaying your job. Take control of your project.
Have a challenging renovation project with complex existing conditions? Not enough time to scan and manually model what’s there so you can have a streamlined coordination process? Our team can help you implement a hybrid coordination process leveraging targeted modeling where it counts and utilizing the laser scan data, where appropriate, for clash detection allowing you to leverage your full 3D coordination process on even the most complex brownfield projects.
Building Information Models of existing facilities become the foundation for the renovation design of and reuse of those facilities, but so often the as-built models suffer from low accuracy and poor quality. Our team can help you set your as-built modeling standards, train your team to efficiently follow those standards, and provide workflows and tools to ensure the quality of the results match your design deliverables.
Meet Our Consulting Team:
VP of Industry Strategy
Kelly is passionate about process and technology innovation, and how it can change industries and people’s lives. His education is in architecture, but his experience within the AEC space is far more varied. His career includes time in design, preconstruction, project management, and leading a billion-dollar integrated design & build firm’s Virtual Design and Construction department. Those experiences formed the belief that there are better ways to create our built environment, and it is Kelly’s mission to make it so. He is driving ClearEdge3D’s focus on closing the gap between the virtual and real word so design and construction professionals can leverage reality capture technology to get the most value from their digital toolbox.
VP of Industry Strategy
James loves Design and Construction. Why? Because he thinks buildings are meaningful and signify how our society has evolved at any given moment! James has been working in the Design and Construction industry since 2006 and prior to coming to ClearEdge3D, he held roles at a large billion-dollar design & build firm as both the Director of Virtual Building and Director of Centralized Planning and Scheduling. Before all that, James worked on jobsites, mainly running projects. He also has 5 years of surveying experience building large commercial projects. Even though he has experienced most sides of the design and construction process, there is something new to learn every single day and that is why he loves his job. He also works to mentor AEC startups when he can. When James is not having fun at ClearEdge3d, you will find him rock climbing or playing golf. He despises running.
