The ClearEdge3D development team has spent the last several months fine-tuning a new EdgeWise algorithm that will empower you to extract pipes from SLAM-based and unified data, and even manually clipped terrestrial data sets.
Today, we’re excited to announce that the new functionality is available to you in EdgeWise version 5.7!

EdgeWise 5.7 can handle new types of scan data to create an even more streamlined scan- to- BIM workflow!
Now, you can leverage mobile scanners to expedite data collection, then import your point cloud into EdgeWise and use its automated and semi-automated modeling tools to speed up work in the office. This will give you a massive head start on generating your high-quality project deliverables.
The new algorithm also works with manually clipped terrestrial data sets. That means no more running your entire point cloud through the software. In version 5.7, you can remove insignificant data and model only the necessary sections of a project. That saves processing and transfer time, storage space, and clean-up time in your downstream applications — ultimately improving your bottom line.
