Survey New Point

You can use the Survey New Point feature by measuring a target from a station that has already been localized. This feature will create a new control point for you to use in other workflows as you continue through your project.

After creating a station, you will need to localize your instrument by using Occupation & Backsight or Resection. After localization, choose the Localize option from the right side of the screen. Then, choose the Survey New Point option.
*You can still survey a new point after performing a scan at a station.

First, specify the name of the point you will be creating in the following dialog:

Then, the target measurement screen will be displayed. Proceed through the target measurement in the same way as is discussed in the Target Measurement workflow page.

After the measurement is done, you will see the newly created point in your project.
