Heatmap

This page will cover the different Heatmap options available for use in Collage Site. Currently there are three different Heatmap options to choose from, all of which can be accessed via the Lidar Properties menu: Ground, Wall, and Sloped. All of these heatmap options can be viewed and used in Panorama view mode by overlaying the point cloud on the images.

Ground Heatmap

To use the Ground Heatmap start with setting the ground elevation. To do this, tap the set elevation button.

Then tap a point on the ground in your point cloud. You may also manually set the elevation in the text field. Once the Elevation is established, you will then see the view shift to the heatmap

Wall Heatmap

To use the Wall Heatmap, first you need to set the reference elevation. To do this, tap the Set Elevation button, then tap a point on the vertical plane in the point cloud. Next, tap the second point in the point cloud.

Slope Heatmap

To use the Slope Heatmap, you will first need to tap the set elevation button. Then you will need to tap at least 2 other additional points in your point cloud.

Heatmap Options

Ground, Wall, and Slope Heatmaps all share these common setting tools.

Hide points above/below
This setting, when enabled, will create a new text field and a slider. This function is only visible in the Heatmap view. Once the parameters are set to your desired distance using either the slider or text field, all points that are above and below the specified elevation (or point) will be hidden from view.

High/low tolerence
This text field will adjust the tolerance above and below the reference elevation

Increment size
This text field will adjust the size for each color band increment. Note that this number cannot be set higher than the High/low tolerance.

Number of increments
This text field will change the amount of increments that determine the increment size within the High/Low tolerance established.

Repeat color interval
This toggle will repeat the entire RGB spectrum to show variance.
