Establishing Manual Control
Manually Creating Control
This process needs to be done with the first station created in your new blank project.
First, open Collage Site and create a new project. Inside of your new project, connect to your scanning instrument and position your scanner in a way that the targets are in the line of sight. You will then need to complete at least 2 Target Measurements
On the target measurement screen set the name you want to use for your control point, the type of target, and if you are establishing a floorpoint by using a rod and prism you will need to input the target height. Measure the first target and ensure the results are accurate before keeping it. Repeat the process until you have measured all the targets you are using to establish your coordinate system.
To export your newly measured targets as a coordinate system in .CSV format, go to the Layers tab and select the Target layer from your station. Towards the bottom of the Layers Tab tap the Export Data button. Select the format you wish to use for your CSV. For coordinate systems, you can select NEZ, ENZ, or XYZ. Tap Export. Your new control point file will be downloaded to the Downloads folder on your machine.
You can edit the filename in the Downloads folder, and now your manual control network is ready for use. From here you can then Import the Reference.
