Quick C2C and Quick C2C In Place

This article will cover how to use the Quick C2C features while linking stations in Collage Site.

Quick C2C and Quick C2C In Place run the same core cloud to cloud algorithm, but differ in how they are used. Quick C2C is run after manually aligning scans. Quick C2C In Place is used when the scans are already aligned, because you are just adding loop closure/cross links to your graph. You could also use this option when stations were localized to survey control and you are adding constraints to refine the registration.

You can run Quick C2C in the following cases:

Run Quick C2C after Manual initial alignment
Run Quick C2C after Auto initial alignment
Run Quick C2C In Place from the create link screen/drop down because the scans are already aligned.

When you tap the Quick C2C button, Collage Site will calculate the best alignment between the selected scans. This processing should take less than a minute with most scan resolutions, though the highest resolution scans may take longer to process.

Review C2C Results

Once processing is complete, you will be shown the C2C constraint metrics in the right panel and be taken to the same alignment environment to review the final alignment between the two scans.

If the alignment is acceptable, tap the Accept and Apply option to apply the changes to the project environment.

If you choose the Cancel & Delete Link option, the current process will be canceled and the current link will be deleted.
