Check Scanner Status
These scanner status buttons are displayed on top menu bar after connection to an instrument is successful.

Scanner Connection Status
We currently do not have any way to check if the tablet’s wireless card is connected to the scanner’s wireless network, so the icon in Collage Site can only tell you whether the software is connected to the instrument or not. Also, commands can be sent at a much longer distance than wireless transfer of scan data is effective (the recommended range is within 15 meters of scanner), so just because you are connected does not mean you can effectively transfer data from the scanner to the tablet.

Tilt Status
This icon indicates that the scanner is leveled well enough for tilt compensation to work properly (Both X and Y tilt values are less than 6 arcminutes).
This icon indicates that the scanner is tilted more than 6 arcminutes and cannot be corrected using tilt compensation. You will need to level the scanner or disable tilt compensation to proceed with scanning.
If you click on the level button, the detailed level status window will appear.
You can check X and Y tilt values in detail and turn on/off tilt compensation and the digital bubble on the instrument’s screen to help you level the instrument.
Tilt (compensation)
In case of using cloud-to-cloud registration at a station, if you turn the Tilt toggle to OFF, you will be able to quickly perform scanning without needing to level the instrument under 6 arcminutes. However, when you perform target measurement for localization and surveying new point workflows, you need to turn Tilt toggle to ON and level the instrument under 6 arcminutes.
Digital Bubble
When connected to a GLS, turning the Digital Bubble toggle in Collage Site on will make the Digital Bubble screen appear on the instrument.
The Digital Bubble screen is always active on the GTL except for target measurement screen. If you want to level the instrument’s tilt in the target measurement screen, you need to turn the Digital Bubble toggle to ON.
CR-P1 Tilt Status
When connected to the CR-P1 instrument, you will see one of the following status icons that reflects your current tilt status:
- This shows that your instrument is in tolerance.
- This shows that your instrument is getting close to being completely outside of tolerance for a scan.
- This shows that your instrument is completely outside of tolerance for a scan.
