Points lists and other GIS data

This article covers each of the currently supported point cloud list file types that you can import into Collage Site as a reference.

This import option lets you bring in various GIS data into the project as a reference. This includes reference vector data as well as point files you can use to localize your instrument in the field.

Supported Formats

  • DXF
  • KML
  • GML
  • GeoJSON
  • ESRI (.shp, .shx, .dbf)
  • CSV (for survey points in various point formatting)

Importing a points file is a critical step in the process if you are planning on localizing your instrument. Collage Site can take a variety of point file formats (such as NEZ, ENZ) in any units and will load and convert them to the project’s units settings for use in localization.

You can also add/remove and otherwise edit point files by selecting the points layer and then opening a table view of the points file.
