Layers Tab

While inside of a project, you will see the Layers tab in the Workflow Panel on the right side of the screen. The Layers tab will allow you to manage different data layer types in Collage Site. Scanning and Importing scan data workflows in Collage Site creates what is called Layer data. These Layers come together and are overlaid on top of each other to ultimately create cohesive projects in the main viewer. You can manipulate and create layer data in various ways, which will be covered throughout this Knowledge Base.

Main Use Cases:

• Hiding individual layers (lidar, stations, panoramas, targets, etc)
• Deleting individual layers
• Add/Create additional layers in active projects
  
  

The buttons on the bottom of the Layers tab will give you additional functionality with certain layer types selected. Also, tapping the blue checkbox next to a selected layer will hide/show that layer.

Layers Tab: Functions

• Add Data… -Allows you to import and/or create additional layers in their current project.
• Process data… -This button is a pointer tool that will take you to other workflows depending on what menu the you have previously selected in the Workflow tab.
• Remove layer - This button will allow you to remove the currently selected layer(s) from their project.
• Export layer - This button will allow you to export the currently selected layer(s) from their project.
• Zoom to layer - You can focus in on the currently selected layer (with certain layers selected like Lidar, Panorama, Targets).
• Explore files - This button allows you to view and download the data of the currently selected layer as it would be seen/stored on the Scanner’s onboard SD card.
