Scan Painter Settings
Resolution radio buttons - presets from Low to Very High that change the default Resolution text field.
- Resolution - size of the final texture pixels. The lower the resolution value, the more detailed the final texture will be. However, this will also result in a larger bit map and more processing time.
- Oversampling - a multiplier applied to the pixel size when querying point data. Higher oversampling will result in more filled-in textures.
Color Mode radio buttons - color mode options that will change which data affects the texture of the element.
- Color - colors the element using the RGB data values of the point cloud.
- Intensity - colors the element using the Intensity values of the point cloud.
- Distance - colors the element based on how far the point data is from the element. Points that are behind, on top of, or in front of the element are blue, green, and red respectively. The distance used is determined by the Front Range and Back Range values below.
- Front Range - the distance used to query point data in front of the object for the Distance color mode option. This setting is currently hard-coded in feet.
- Back Range - the distance used to query point data behind the object for the Distance color mode option. This setting is currently hard-coded in feet.
Once, you have determined your settings, click the OK button and allow the tool to complete processing.
