Open Scan View

This article explains the Open Scan View tool found within the Modify Tab.

Clicking the Open Scan View button will create a new 3D perspective view centered within the selected Scanner Location Marker. If a Scan View has already been created for the selected Scanner Location Marker, its existing view will be opened.

Each new view is automatically added to your 3D Views list in your Project Browser. The naming convention for each view is as follows: PointCloudname.rcp - scanlocationname.

If multiple Scanner Location Markers are selected when the Open Scan View button is clicked, only the last view created in the Project Browser will open but other marker views will still be created in the 3D Views list if they haven’t already.

The creation of perspective views with the Open Scan View button can be made from any view as long as the Scanner Location Markers are visible. Additionally, these 3D perspective views can be created automatically using the Create Scan Views checkbox found in the Create Markers & Views dialog box.
