Verity Item Table
This article will cover the Analyze results in the Verity Item Table.
After you Analyze your geometry against the point cloud, Verity offers several tools to review, QA, and refine the results of the Analysis.
Verity is designed to expedite your verification workflow, but as with any automated analysis, we highly recommend you review each item as part of your QA process. Human input and review is vital to getting the most accuracy and efficiency possible out of your Verity analysis.
After Analyze is complete, an HTML Summary Report will be generated and opened automatically in your default web browser. This report will show you summary information about the analysis including processing time, the percentage of items in each Installation classification, and aggregate Transformation information. The aggregated errors can help diagnose global issues in your dataset, like coordinate system errors, as well as draw attention to any elements or systems as a whole that are well outside the set Tolerance or missing entirely.
Most fields in the Verity Item Table are automatically populated after Analyze with the Installation Status, Conformance to Tolerance, and Translation and Rotation results of the Verity fitting algorithm.
Selecting an item in the table will display that element’s geometry and relevant points in the Verity Viewer, which can be customized with Camera and Visibility settings.
Selection of an item or items will also enable Interaction with Host functionality, allowing you to choose how to integrate Verity’s Analysis information with your host project.
In addition to these automated results, the Verity Item Table has four fields available for user input, making project management and communication simple. These fields are Reviewer, Review Status, Action Required, and Notes. The Reviewer and Review Status fields can be filled in with a single click by using the Accept Current Status / Active Reviewer QA Tools.
Verity’s QA Tools panel offers several options for verifying the results of the Analysis, digging deeper into the Status or Translation/Rotation metrics, and communicating any action items to the relevant team. Most of these tools reach into a very fine level of detail that might only be applicable for a few elements or scenarios. In most cases, a visual check during the review process and maybe the use of heatmaps is usually sufficient to decide what to do with an element.
Occasionally, the Verity Analysis results will require refinement. Many of the fields in the Verity Item Table are adjustable after analysis, as is the As-Built location (if found). The following Analysis results can be altered after Analyze is complete, if needed:
