A photo note is a calibrated, 8MP photo taken by the Verity Photo app. Photo notes are just regular JPEG files that have the following structure:

To create a new photo note, open the Verity Photo app and select Capture

A live view of the camera will appear, touch the  button to capture an image. The next screen allows you to mark up the note image with overlays, to add an overall comment to the note, and to tag the note with a location on an imported MAP file.

After you have added markup to the note image and set a location, click the Save button . Here’s a video of a note being marked up …

After you save the new note, you’ll be given an option to Share the note:

You can  use “Open with another app” to store the newly created note in a cloud service like DropBox or Box, or choose “Share via email” to use the native iOS mail app to email the new note. No matter what option is chosen here, the new note will be saved to the device’s Photos library:
