If this error appears during Process Scans it is quite possible that your Faro Drivers are out of date.
EdgeWise takes advantage of the Faro Drivers for a number of different processes underneath the hood. Sometimes the Faro Drivers are blocked by your machine or IT protocol. Other times, you may have FLS scans that were made in Faro Scene that has later drivers than your EdgeWise version. Regardless of how it was caused, you’ll want to make sure you get the latest drivers.
